Charlie Kirk was recently martyred, and I'm pissed. I wish they would bring back stoning people to death Old Testament style. You know what's bothering me though? God's grace is freely available to his killer inasmuch as it is to me. You know what really bothers me? The thought of Jesus taking this punk's place; it was bad enough that Charlie was killed, but now my Lord paying for it? As Peter rebuked Jesus, I feel like I want to also (Mat. 16:22).

You know what really, really bothers me? If Charlie came back down from heaven, knowing what he knows now, seeing Whom he's seen now (1 John 3:2), and being made perfect as he is now, I believe he would forgive his killer without any contempt in his heart. Why do I believe this? Because Charlie now resembles Jesus (Rom. 8:29), and when they unjustly crucified Christ, hanging from the cross, Jesus prayed for His killers, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). I think I understand better why Jonah didn't want to go to Nineveh (Jonah 4:2). God's grace is unmatched, available to all freely, and never comes up short (Rom. 5:20). Tyler, if you read this, know that the Apostle Paul started out by killing Christians too (Acts 7:58). There's a reason we sing "Amazing Grace".
